Over-Turn It!

Gen.32:24 “…But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

Joseph had a dream – he saw the sun, the moon, and eleven stars bowing to him. Israel said, you mean that your mother and I will bow down to you? And Israel changed it. Check – everyone bowed to Joseph apart from Israel. In fact, Israel lived to bless Joseph and his children. If he did not change it, he would have had to prostrate before Joseph because it had been written. Take the example of Job; there were discussions going on about Job but he could not listen in and so he could not change it. Job cried out, “I wish I had a man that could intercede for me”. There are certain things that have been written and are contrary to you. This season, you are going to change it, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

When some people say certain things, I take their words to God, “This is what they have said.” And He says, “yes” and I say, “but it is not going to happen” and I cancel it. And those things have remained canceled. All glory to God alone who is gracious enough to give us power with Him! Why are you afraid because someone has said or some people have said something about you? Go to your Father, your God and change it! Go to your Father because they that know their God will be strong and will do exploits! Do not leave your life to chance. People are wicked and wishing you well is not on their list of “To-do’s”. You have to wish yourself well and engage the supernatural to bring the wishes to pass.

Jacob said, “I will not accept it, I will not take no for an answer, and I will not let you go” [paraphrased]. God’s promise to us in this season is that He will fulfill promises, long standing promises. For some of us reading this today, your parents have pleased God but did not wait to enjoy the promises. I pray that God will bring those promises to pass in your life. Jacob did not go and look for his father’s prophet; he sought the God of his father. Do not be like the people who are looking for a prophet to give them a word. Everybody must find God by himself because therein lies your strength. You are as strong as your relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, today I stand before the throne of God above and I over turn every written thing about me that does not align with Your plan for my life, in Jesus Name. Amen!
