Good News!

Jer.1:10 “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant” [KJV]

The awesome news is this- life’s foundation can be corrected. The fact that you have a faulty foundation is not the end of your life.  If you will cooperate with God, your life’s foundation can be corrected. Take the case of Gideon; I encourage you to read Judges 6. The first message to us in Judges 6 is, your current foundation is not an indication of what God has for you and your destiny. The angel said to Gideon, “oh mighty man of war” and he said, “Who are you talking to?”

God is speaking to you about your destiny but your focus is on how faulty your foundation is. Like Gideon, you are contending with the prophetic and you are saying, “how can this be?” Never determine your divine destiny by your current faulty foundation. Yes, it is faulty but what God has said is superior. Gideon’s foundation could not carry the weight of his assignment. His assignment was to be a judge, a deliverer but his foundation could not carry it. And God corrected his foundation. God will correct your foundation, in Jesus Name. But Gideon made a mistake that a lot of us make. Gideon was trying to build a holy foundation on top of a faulty foundation. Raising a holy foundation on an evil foundation can be very limiting and very dangerous. And God told him he had to destroy the evil foundation first.

In Exodus 3 [please read], God had just appeared to Moses and given him an assignment with signs and wonders to back it up. But Moses thought it was possible to deliver Israel with a faulty foundation. He was trying to build a Godly foundation on an evil foundation. In Exodus 4 [please read], God was going to kill Moses. Why? There was a foundational issue with Moses’ children. They were not circumcised and because of that, the foundation of that family was faulty. You cannot just run with the mandate that God has given you. You must first deal with the faulty foundation. Circumcision is covenant. Yes, you have a legitimate assignment. But God is saying, you cannot build a good foundation on an old, evil foundation. You have to destroy the old one first, and then you can be released into the new.

Prayer: Father, I align with Your Word and by faith in Jesus Christ, I tear down every faulty foundation and build my foundation on Christ the Solid Rock, in Jesus Name. Amen!
