This Is It!
Matt.18:18 “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
If they are looking for people in your neighborhood that can stand and hold God’s hands, they should knock on your door. It is people like you that speak to God and He listens. Let this truth follow you into your prayer room or your closet with God and watch faith and power fill the room. So, approach God beginning today, confident that it is people like you who speak to God and He listens. It is people like you that decree things and they happen. Power is powerful. So when you come to the place of prayer, you must understand that it is people like you that God has been looking for. It is someone like you that God has been looking for to stand in the gap for your family, to stand in the gap even for this nation.
Whatever you forbid here is forbidden in heaven. Whatever you permit here is permitted in heaven. Matt.18:19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” Jesus is here and I am not speaking figuratively. It is either Jesus is here or He is a liar. And I know He is not a liar so He must be here. That is the way I see God and the way I approach the Scripture. Prayer is powerful and the power of prayer makes prayer sweet.
The Pattern of Prayer: This is the second thing that makes the hour of prayer sweet. I know that for some, it is hard for us to even comprehend one hour of prayer. Jesus shows us the pattern of prayer [please read Matt.6:9-13] and admonishes us to pray like this. If you engage the pattern of prayer, you will discover that praying for an hour is possible. The pattern Jesus shows us is the Lord’s Prayer and the first thing that stands out is that prayer is based on relationship with God as our Father. And that is really where we need to start.
If God is not your Father, you need to sort that out today. If you have moved away from your Father [backslidden], you need to sort that out today. Every prayer originates from our relationship with our Father.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for loving me. I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus to die for me and reconcile me to You. Today I declare that You are my Father, in Jesus Name. Amen!
