In Its Place

Ps.46:1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea” [with emphasis].

Ps.91:5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night…” It is normal to feel fear. The fact that you are afraid does not mean you have lost the battle. Some people think that feeling fear means they have lost the battle and so they throw in the towel. I am telling you today that you can feel fear and still be on course. I want you to put fear in its proper place today. The greatest of men sometimes do things while afraid.

When we were going to take our land as a church, someone asked me if I was afraid. My response was and is, “So what? Does fear dethrone Jesus? Does fear change the fact that from eternity to eternity He is God? Does fear change the fact that “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof”?” It does not, so I put fear in its place and I embrace the Word of God. And this is why you have to fall in love with the Bible, that is if you have not fallen in love with the Bible already. You have to embrace the word of God.

Fear is nothing; because God is present. So do not be afraid. Keep the Word of God close to your heart. For instance, God’s Word says in Isa.41:10 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand” [with emphasis]. I want to encourage you – take this is particular Scripture and read it over and over and over again, Believe me, fear cannot withstand God’s Word. Banish fear from your life. God will strengthen you, but he is saying do not be afraid.

Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” For everyone trusting God for the fruit of the womb, God will give you the grace to conceive. For everyone trusting God for financial fruitfulness, God will give you the grace to conceive and He will take the glory. Think about it; is fruitfulness a good thing? God will not withhold fruitfulness from you.
