Power

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

I am confident that your life will not be void of power. All God asks for, is that you give Him all the glory, all the credit. God wants us to acknowledge that power belongs to Him. The only time we will run into problems is when we attempt to share in God’s credit [glory]. God does not really like that. King Nebuchadnezzar attempted to share in God’s glory and God caused him to eat grass for seven years until he gave all the glory to God and acknowledged that the Most High rules. Power belongs to God. I take time out before every service in God’s Favourite House to give God credit in advance so that His power can flow without hindrance.

Please read Exodus 17:8-13. We see the power to prevail in action in this story. So we will be learning from this story and from the lives of the children of Israel and we too will prevail, in Jesus Name. Ex.17:13 “In the end, Joshua and the men of Israel defeated Amalek and his soldiers with the sword” [Voice]. I declare that in the end, you will prevail, you will defeat all the Amalekites, in Jesus Name.

The New Living Translation puts it this way, “As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle” [with emphasis]. You will overwhelm all the enemies of your destiny, in Jesus Mighty Name. The New International Version of the Bible puts it this way, “So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword” [with emphasis]. You will overcome, in Jesus Name. The King James Version reads, “And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword” [with emphasis]. You will discomfit Amalek, in the Name of Jesus. And the Amplified version of the Bible reads, “And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword” [With emphasis].  And because you will receive fresh power to prevail, you will mow down and you will disable the Amalekites, in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Father, I declare by the authority in the Name of Jesus that my life will not be void of Your power. I acknowledge that all power belongs to God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
