First Things First!

Phil.4:¹⁹ “God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” [with emphasis].

God will meet all your needs if you pray and expect an answer. This is very crucial. Yes God wants us to pray but He wants us to go beyond and actually expect the prayer to be answered. Matt.7:¹¹ “If you, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him“ [with emphasis]. In forty different places in the New Testament alone God says ask. Why would the all knowing God say ask? The Word of God says, “We have not because we ask not”.

If you want to see God in action in your life, even if you can afford it ten times over, before you pay for it pray for it. It will change your life and take your relationship with God to the next level. You will begin to see God move in ways that will shock you. What I have come to realize in my life is that the greatest proof of God is answered prayers.

I believe women should work if they want to work. I believe women should become all that God has called them to be. But once a woman gets married, according to the Word of God, I do not think she has to bear the financial burden of the family. Some people think the financial burden should be split fifty-fifty. I am not here to disagree with you. I am speaking based on what I see in Scripture, the man should shoulder the financial burden of the home. The woman can help; help means the man is carrying it already. My wife knows she does not have to work. If she wants to work I am fine with it. I may not have all the money in the world. But it should never cross her mind that the finances of the family are dependent on her salary.

When my wife comes to me for money to buy stuff, I ask her, “Have you prayed about it?” She says, “Why should I pray when I know that you can pay?” “You have to pray before you pay because I am not your source. God is your source”. If your wife begins to see you as her source, she will put you in the place of God and God will not share His glory with any man. So God will have to kill you and I am sure you not want to die young. Before you pay, pray!

Prayer: Father, I will not look to my hands or any man for sustenance. You alone are my source and I ask today for provision, in Jesus Name. Amen!
