Do Right I

Prov.28:20 “The man who wants to do right will get a rich reward. But the man who wants to get rich quick will quickly fail” [LB]

Before you pay for it, pray for it – that is how I run my life. For something as simple as buying a T-shirt, I ask God for it first. I have discovered that shockingly sometimes God does not want me to buy it. Or God may not want me to pay for it from my own pocket. There are many times while I am praying before paying, God says “I will give it to you” and He does. So I do not have to pay for it. Sometimes God says watch this miracle and you walk into the miracle. And somebody you do not know and have never met shows up and gives you that thing. You will see God in action and it will blow your mind. So the more you learn to pray for it before paying for it, the more you see God as your source, the more your financial fears vanish, and the more you are at peace and find rest.

God will supply all my needs if I obey God’s financial principles. Prov.28:20The man who wants to do right will get a rich reward. But the man who wants to get rich quick will quickly fail” [LB, with emphasis]. Which do you choose? Do right! The man who wants to obey God’s financial instruction will always become wealthy; will always get a rich reward. Stop looking for short cuts. Stop looking for get-rich-quick schemes. Follow God! It is important  for us to think clearly about our finances. We did a teaching on it in God’s Favourite House. Find out how you can get that resource because it will help you. You need to know and apply set financial principles. If you want God’s blessings, you must follow God’s instructions.

God will meet all my needs if I demonstrate contentment with what I have already. Ecc.5:10-11“Whoever loves money never has enough . . . and is never satisfied with his income . . . As goods increase, so do those who consume them . . . “ [with emphasis]. If you think money is going to make your marriage better, it is a big lie. If you do not learn to be content now, you will not be content when the promotion comes. The source of discontentment is comparison. Be content in your connection with God.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to always do right by You and the grace not to take shortcuts, in Jesus Name. Amen!
