Do Right II

Heb. 13:5 “. . . Be content with what you have, because God has said, `I will never leave you nor forsake you.'”  [with emphasis]

This is the key to contentment, understanding that it is God that has provided what you have currently. So keep your eyes on Him and not on what every other person has or does not have. For some people, what they are wearing is great until they step out of their house. And then what they have suddenly becomes inadequate because they have given into the trap of comparison. Comparison is the greatest source of discontentment. Be content in your connection with God; be content in your connection to the source of all things.

Do not get me wrong; I am not saying you should not have financial goals. That is complacency. Contentment is not complacency. Contentment means no matter what comes my way Christ will sustain me. Contentment means regardless of what I have, I am complete in Christ. So, I do not need to wear a better shirt to have more value, I am already valuable – that is contentment. When God sees a content person, He cannot help but bless the person more. It is in Scripture. 2 Chron.16:9 The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed [content] to him…”, [with emphasis]. My happiness does not depend on my circumstance but on my relationship with CHRIST!

God will meet all my needs if I Practice the law of harvest. The law of harvest is whatever you sow you are going to reap it. If you sow kindness you will reap it. If you sow criticism, you will reap it. If you sow discouragement, you will reap it. If you sow finances, you will reap it. If you sow time and energy, you will reap it. Whatever you sow you reap. 2 Cor. 9:6-8 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under pressure, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL THAT YOU NEED, you will abound in EVERY good work” [NIV, with emphasis]. Sowing and reaping applies to everything in life including money.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, my contentment is in You, please help me to practice the law of seed and harvest, in Jesus Name. Amen!
