Do Right III

2 Cor. 9:6 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously [NIV, with emphasis].

Only a crazy farmer will buy three hectares of bare land and get angry because there is no crop on the land. A lot of people want to get out of financial challenges but are not willing to sow. Keep praying but prayer alone will not change the situation. This is another truth you need to know and action you need to take. You need to give. When you have a need you sow a seed. Why? There is a seed for every need and the seed will meet the need.

People want to give only when all their needs have been met. But God says start giving then your needs will be met. 2 Cor. 9:8 ” And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL THAT YOU NEED, you will abound in EVERY good work” [NIV, with emphasis]. How generous God’s mind is towards us. God does not want us to be in lack. The people of the world are under intense financial pressure. People are worried about so many things – the dollar rate, nuclear weapons, and finances. And the greatest testimony is children of God are without worry. Not necessarily because they have a billion dollars but their security is in God who never fails. Decide to put your trust in God.

James Cash Benny says, “One night at age fifty six, I was broke discouraged and ill at my home in Michigan, I thought I will never see the dawn of another day. Got up wrote farewell letters to my wife and oldest son. Rose up early and went down stairs and I heard this song being played, “God will take care of you…” I came out of that room a changed man. God did take care of me. He did save me and ever since then I have been trying to serve him. I got a turn around. I enjoyed material wealth more than I have ever done before. But above all I have gained immensely in spiritual wealth for I’ve learned to turn to God for guidance for all the acts and decisions of my life”

God had ordered your steps to this devotional today so that you will know that God will take care of you [Ps.55:22 please read]. Are you going to embrace it like James C. Benny or are you going to turn to worry? The choice is yours.

Prayer [hymn]: When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way. While we do His good will, He abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus… Amen!
