Rejoice Still

Psa. 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it”.

At the beginning of the year 2016, God gave us a Word – Rejoice. You and I must never forget this instruction because the Word of God is cumulative and we are on a journey with God. From establishment, to bloom, to victory and then rejoice; the beauty of it all is that God is still speaking and His Words will accomplish His desire in our lives, in Jesus Name. And because we are still in the season of rejoicing and rejoicing will never cease from our homes, we must understand a few things.

Firstly, when God says rejoice, it does not mean that we are to sit back on the lazy chair, put our legs up, have some soda and some popcorn, and watch a movie. Rejoicing is not just going to fall on your laps. The spiritual does not work like that. Elisha said to Jehoash, “God has given you victory, strike!” Even though God has given you victory, you still have to strike. You need to strike! Paul told Timothy to war a good warfare with the prophecies that were spoken over his life [1Tim.1:18].

The prophecies spoken over your life are tools for spiritual warfare. When prophecies are spoken over your life, you are to take them and engage in the spirit realm till you see what has been spoken. This year and beyond, you will have cause to rejoice, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Only the voice of rejoicing and salvation will come out of our homes, in Jesus Name [say amen]. God will fill our mouths with laughter. God will fill our tongues with singing. God will fill your steps with dancing, in the Mighty Name of Jesus [say amen].

To rejoice simply means to be to be full of joy. Joy has a way of making you feel exhilarated. You cannot be joyful and be moody. Joy changes your mood, it changes your countenance, and it changes your disposition. You will rejoice for the remaining days in this year and beyond, in Jesus Mighty Name. Phil.4:4 “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” “Keep on rejoicing in the Lord at all times. I will say it again: Keep on rejoicing!” [ISV, with emphasis]

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I declare in the Name of Jesus that my joy and rejoicing will be unstoppable this year and beyond, in the Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
