Rejoice Because… II

Rom.5:11 “So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God” [with emphasis].

You are going to rejoice because the Lord will rescue you, God will bless the works of your hands, God will give you answers for your enemies, your giving will be wholeheartedly, and because God will reign over you. 1 Chr.16:31 “Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Make a list in your prayer journal of all these things that have been spoken into your life so that you can connect with everything that has been spoken over you. It was not just spoken because I had a good idea. I was led to speak. And in your devotion time, bring the list before God with rejoicing and watch what He will do.

Our rejoicing has to be contagious. Joy is one thing that you cannot keep to yourself. Have you not noticed that you cannot keep a smile to yourself? Smiles are shared naturally. And when you smile, the other person also catches it and smiles back. That is the nature of rejoicing. People naturally move away from people that are frowning because they do not want to catch that. If you have a choice of who to sit beside on a flight, you would naturally choose to sit beside a smiling face. Rejoicing is contagious. God wants us to take this joy to the nations and tell them that the Lord reigns. You and I should take Jesus to our neighborhood, our friends and our colleagues. Let all the nations know that the Lord reigns.

A lot of people think that the things that amount to greatness in the Kingdom are big things but sometimes it is the little things. Remember the Bible says he who is faithful in little, more will be added unto him. When God checks your home, he should not be able to tell the difference between the adults and the children because of the rejoicing. Not that the children will be rejoicing and the adults will be frowning. Encourage yourself with Ps.118:24 and choose to rejoice. However, the key to our rejoicing is Jesus and our wonderful new relationship with our God. If you are uncertain about your relationship with Jesus, there is no better time than now to reconnect with Jesus. I pray that as you do, God will cleanse you totally and register your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life and your rejoicing will overflow.

Prayer: God, I thank You for the instruction to rejoice; I will rejoice and only the sound of rejoicing will proceed from my life and my home, in Jesus Name. Amen!
