Planted?

Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel (seed) of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives” [with emphasis].

Every thing you see today is as a result of the seed somebody gave. However, it is possible to leave that seed on the table. But guess what? In five years, it will still be just a seed. The reason is because the table is not the Right Soil for the seed. If you put that seed in your wardrobe among your clothes, nothing will happen no matter how much time passes. Meanwhile, that same seed could have produced forest upon forest.
Depending on the area in which you are seeking abundant harvest, the soil varies. If it is in spiritual growth, the soil you need to plough is your heart. The soil you need to prepare is your heart. If you want harmony in your marriage, then the soil you need to tend is your home. If you want a harvest in your career or your business, the soil you need to work on is your brain. If it is in your finances, the soil you need to sow into, is in people’s lives and God’s soil.

Your life also is a seed and the soil for your life is in God’s house. Ps.92:13 “Planted in the house of the Lord,  they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green” [with emphasis]. Where are you planted? Or are you a floating Christian? Attending a church does not necessarily translate to being planted there. In God’s Favourite House for example, the first step to being planted is to do the first trip of “The Journey” – a spiritual growth program. Then to get into the life of the church, we advise people to start serving in church. Sometimes, the season of people’s lives may not permit this and we understand that. So the next step might be to join a Life Group and be useful in that place.

The soil provides three main functions and you need to get this. The first function of the soil is it provides a place to die.  No matter how much potential the seed has, the seed remains a seed until it is planted and it dies. Many people are planted but they have refused to die. Imagine unearthing the seed you plant daily; that seed will never become a forest. When you plant, you need to allow it to die.

Prayer: I declare in Jesus Name, that I and they that God has given me, will be planted in the House of the Lord and we will bear fruit abundantly, in Jesus Name. Amen!
