Lifestyle Adjustment

Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel (seed) of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives” [with emphasis].

The formula for abundant harvest is this – the Right Seed + the Right Soil + the Right Conditions = Abundant Harvest. With me and I am sure with all of us, God always ensues that we are not just preaching the Word but that we are doers also. So opportunities will come for you to do the Word, I pray you will always take them head on, making God proud.

After preaching a sermon on the ways to abundant harvest, I wanted to give my offering with the point of sales machine [P.O.S] but it did not work. I began to get disturbed because it is priority for me to always give my offering. So while I was thinking, my mind went to some foreign currency I had in my wallet. I tried to keep my mind from going there but I realized that at that time, that was the offering I had to give. It was just between God, and me no one else knew and so I gave it.

Remember, our own side of the equation is the seed in the soil in the right conditions. The harvest is God’s side of the equation. Honestly, I did not think about the offering again. By God’s grace I have gotten to a place in my walk with God that I do not even worry about my harvest anymore. I used to spend a lot of time after giving, fasting and praying and trying to figure out how the harvest will come. God has taken me beyond that place to a place of total trust in Him. And I pray you will find rest in Him even as you also trust Him with your seed.

I am kind of on auto run with my sowing. Guess what? Not up to a week after giving that offering, someone gave me a gift twelve times the amount I sowed and in the same currency as the seed sown. The Word of God works; I have proved it over and over in my life. I can assure you that it will not fail in your time; just trust God for the harvest. God is alive! When you hold back you cheat yourself. Make giving your lifestyle.

Identify the areas of your life where you are trusting God for a miracle. Then bring an item symbolic of that area into your place of devotion over the next few days, as a point of contact to that area. And God will do a miracle in that area of your life this season.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to hold loosely to things and tightly to You; let there be nothing that I cannot give to the Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!
