Point Of Contact I

2 Kings 13: 18 “…Strike the ground”; so he struck three times, and stopped. 19 And the man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it…” [NKJV]

Please read Ex.14:15-22. This is the example of Moses parting the red sea. Ex .14:21 “Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind…”. Moses lifted up his hand and God parted the sea. If Moses had not lifted up his rod, would the sea have parted? If God had not sent the east wind, would the sea have parted? This means that with miracles, there is a God part and there is a man part. In the case of Moses, the point of contact to the supernatural for the release of power was the rod. The transfer of power in this case was by radiation. Moses lifted up the rod, even though the power was not physically visible, it flowed and parted the sea. I know there has been a lot of abuse on the point of contact channel for the miraculous. But God still uses it legitimately for His glory.

Another example is the Elisha example in 2 Kings 2:12-14 [please read]. 2 kings 2:14 “He struck the water with Elijah’s cloak [jacket] and cried out, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” Then the river divided, and Elisha went across” [with emphasis]. Elisha used Elijah’s jacket as a point of contact to work the miracle and he connected to God’s power by charge and discharge. Everything you command to open, will open unto you, in Jesus Name.

The story of the children of Israel is another example [Exo.15:25 please read]. They had just come out of Egypt, crossed the red sea and the first water they came across was bitter. They cried to Moses and Moses cried to the Lord for help and the Lord showed him piece of wood and Moses threw it in the water and the water became sweet. The wood was the point of contact for a miracle. God will show you the point of contact you need to turn Marrah into sweetened water. In this case the connection to power was actually multiple. These examples show us that God uses things to provoke the supernatural into being. The enemy tries to counterfeit this channel with voodoo dolls and such. Who ever tries you will pierce their own hearts, in Jesus Name. Amen!
