Your Move
Isa.43:18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing…”
You cannot keep holding on to what worked yesterday when God is telling you to move forward. You need to let it go. So many times what keeps us from today’s miracles are actually yesterday’s miracles. You need to remain hungry and remain fresh for God. In God’s Favourite House we are hungry for God. We thank God for all He has done but as a church, we are hungry for more. There is so much more in God and we are hungry for more of God’s power.
We want more of God’s Presence; we want more of God’s Spirit. People will want you to think that if another person had half of what God is doing in your life they will be happy. You are not other people, you are God’s Favourite so do not hesitate to hunger for more. R.T. Kendall says, “Sometimes the greatest opposition of what God wants to do next is from those who were on the cutting edge of what God did last”. This is so true and I have seen it over and over again. In God’s Favourite House, we, at the cutting edge will remain fresh and we will not be a hindrance to God, in Jesus Name.
To come into what God has for us and to experience the miracles of God, we must Believe, Obey and the third thing is Initiate. In John 9:1-7, Jesus had spread mud over the blind man’s eyes. But when Jesus told him to go to the pool and wash, the blind man did something very instructive. The blind man used his initiative, he probably asked someone to help him or guide him to the pool. His focus was not on evaluating Jesus’ ability to show mercy or not. Sometimes people idolize their handicap. God wants us to step out of every handicap and use our initiatives. You have God’s permission already.
There was a terrible storm [Matt.14], the disciples saw Jesus coming to them walking on water. While everyone else was afraid, Peter used his initiative and asked if he could walk on water? Everyone probably thought he had lost it but he ignored all of that and moved. Many times we are waiting on God for a miracle but God is waiting on us to initiate the miracle. Peter had to let go of the boat to take hold of the supernatural.
Prayer: Lord, I let go of the old and I ask for permission to step into the new things You are doing, in Jesus Name. Amen!
