In Pursuit

Mal. 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies…” [with emphasis]

We are totally grateful to God for technological advancements that have now made it possible for many to conveniently do their giving online. And there is nothing wrong with paying tithes or offerings online. However, God expects us to come.

Yes, you have paid your tithes online but God wants you to come and worship Him yourself. He says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse…”. In other words, after you have done your giving online, you still come. God does not want us for what we have or for what we give. He just wants us more than anything we have! He wants you to personally come and kneel before Him.

And we kneel for several reasons but over the next few days, we will be looking into three of the reasons why we kneel in His Presence. The first is, we kneel in Pursuit. Mark 10: 17As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” [with emphasis]. I had never seen this scripture in this light previously. I have preached from this passage a lot of times but I did not quite take note of the part where the man came and he knelt down before Jesus. It is so profound because this man knelt in pursuit of Jesus.

That man was not a believer. There are people that are not yet believers but God is saying they are free to kneel in pursuit of Him and we are not to judge them. Where they have been before they came to kneel in pursuit of Jesus, is not your business. Even though they do not know God yet, they will find Him, in Jesus Name. God never turns back anybody that comes to Him sincerely. Jesus never sent away anyone that came in pursuit of Him.
However, we that have been saved also kneel in pursuit because we want more, need more, desire more, and hunger for more of God. When you do not kneel or you find yourself struggling with kneeling before God in private or in public, you need to confront yourself with the question – why? Why is it an issue to kneel before your Maker?

Prayer [song]: I will come and bow down at Your feet, Lord Jesus. In Your Presence is fullness of joy. There is nothing, there is no one who compares with You. I take pleasure in worshiping You Lord. Amen!
