Heb.11:9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.”

Too many people benchmark God’s will with ease but the proof of God’s will is peace and not ease. God’s Word does not say it will always be easy. God’s Word says it will always be peaceful. When everyone else is in pain or confused, you may be in a tent but you will have so much peace. And people will not be able to understand you anymore. That is God’s Word in action. Peace and not ease is the proof of God’s will.

Heb.11:17 “It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, 18 even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” God had said, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” And then God says, “Sacrifice this same Isaac”; does that make any sense? No, it does not. A lot of people struggle with faith because they think faith [your faith] is unreasonable. They think faith does not make sense. Some even say that people that have faith and operate by faith are people with low mental capacity. But that is a big lie!

Faith is reasoning on a higher level. The people that have faith and operate by faith know things that other people do not know. The fact that you are ignorant does not mean that everybody else is a fool. Faith is not blind; faith sees. Faith is not dumb; faith reasons and I will show you in Scripture. Heb.11:19 Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again… And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead” [with emphasis].

If you do not know God as the God of all flesh, and if you do not know that nothing is impossible with God, when you see Abraham going to sacrifice his only long awaited son, you will call him a mad man. You would say that faith has turned him to a mad man. You would say he is not reasoning, not using his brain. But Abraham knew what you do not know. He knew that God was able to bring his boy back to life. Abraham reasoned on a higher level.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I declare over my life in the Name of Jesus, that I will not reason away God’s direction; instead I will by faith reason above normal human reasoning. Amen!
