Quality Check
2 Peter 1:10 (TLB) “…work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen, and then you will never stumble or fall away.11 And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
The statue of liberty is famous for many reasons, one of which is the detail the sculpture has. It will interest you to know that as the sculptor was making that piece, he never knew that anyone would be able to see the top of the statue of liberty. The detail at the feet of the statute is beautiful, but it was years after it had been erected, that they were able to fly a helicopter to see the head of the statue. The people that saw it were shocked at the detail the sculptor gave to the head of the statue of liberty.
It is noteworthy to mention that even though he did not think anybody would see the head, he still paid full attention to the details of the work required. The truth is that the sculptor may think that no one will be able to see it and so do a shoddy job, but God will see it. There are things we do that we think nobody can see, so it is fine to do a shabby job. The truth is it will all be revealed one day and when it is revealed, that will determine how high you go. So, pay attention to even those things nobody can see; pay attention because God has His own quality check. Realize that someone above you, sees everything you do.
1 Cor.3:13-15 (GN) “The quality of each man’s work will be seen, when the Day of Christ exposes it. For that Day’s fire will reveal every man’s work; the fire will test it and show its real quality. If (it) survives, he will receive a reward but if it burns up, he will lose it; but he himself will be saved.” [with emphasis]. God has His own quality check and it is known theologically as the White Throne Room judgment. Every believer will go through it. Note that, this is not salvation of souls; you are saved but your work will be tried with fire. The fire will consume some people’s work because it is equivalent to hay.
I pray that your work will endure, in Jesus Name. Quality is never an accident; it is always a result of effort and intention. If you see quality work being done, it is never an accident; somebody is paying the price. My vision for you and everyone in God’s Favourite House is that we will have a reputation for excellence; a reputation for quality.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, please help me to give diligence to produce quality works, in Jesus Name. Amen!
