Eph.4:28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need” [with emphasis].

What would you do if as a shop owner, one day someone just walks into your store and carts away every single product you are selling?

The interesting thing is a lot of us are guilty of robbing people of the labour of their lives. With this realization, I took a stand and told my colleagues that we will no longer use pirated software. So, I made every body install open source software until we could afford to buy what we needed. It was a painful process, people hated it but I forced them to use it. You cannot be praying to God on Sunday and be stealing people’s work on Monday. And by the grace of God, today there is no software that we need that we cannot buy – none!

The truth is you need to choose your path. You can choose the path of ease that is not taking you anywhere or you can choose the path of God that sometimes may not be convenient but at the end of the day, God will prosper you. I will not deceive you, the truth is that straight and narrow most times will not be convenient but you can be rest assured that God will make your way successful. Do not steal; that is what God is saying to you and I. God wants us to stop stealing. So, ask yourself the tough question; are you stealing?

Eph.4:28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need” [with emphasis]. God is showing us that the purpose for working is giving. The purpose for working is not so much in the abundance you will have. Yes, you will have abundance I pray in Jesus Name. But beyond that, the purpose of abundance is not just to have abundance for boasting sake or oppressing people. That cannot be the purpose of abundance. The purpose of abundance is to give.

Our contribution is the purpose for our living. If you check the Bible, God does not state a retirement age. Do you know that? The day God feels that it is time for you to retire, He simply takes you home. So, as long as you are alive, there is something God wants you to contribute. So, the question to self is, what am I contributing? Take this question and wrestle with it concerning different areas of your life, relationship, and work.

Prayer: Holy Father, I thank You for showing me Your way and I ask for the grace to walk with You and be blameless, in Jesus Name. Amen
