The Assurance

Heb.10:23 (AMPC) “So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.”

Jer.29:10 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.

Whenever you feel exiled or stuck, just pick up the Bible and remind yourself of what God has told you. You will discover that you are able to endure because there is an assurance that you would see what you desire; it shall come to pass. What are you about to quit on? It does not take anything to quit but quitters never win. Quitters do not develop character because they do not learn to endure. But when you learn to endure, you develop character, you are stronger, you are better, you have learnt something, you have grown, you have matured and your character is built.

God assures us that we would not be abandoned, that even though the foundation work is taking a long time, it is going to sustain that glorious building. That covenant is going to be established with you and your generation for good, in Jesus name. What God has said to you will come to pass. So, do not give up – endure till the end and you will get your crown. What are you about to quit on? God is assuring you in His Word that you will see a great change in your destiny for good, in Jesus Name. Just endure and develop character to go on.

The situation has an expiry date; after seventy years Daniel went before God and the situation changed. There was an assurance of God’s blessing while they were in the land. If God was not with them, He would not have sent Jeremiah to encourage them and to warn about false prophets. God is with you in that situation; endure it and you will see God’s glory, in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer [song]: You are my strength when I am weak. You are the treasure that I seek. You are my all-in-all. Seeking You as a precious jewel, but to give up I’d be a fool, you are my all-in-all. Jesus, lamb of God, worthy is Your Name… Amen!
