Kindness

Matt.10:“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” [with emphasis]

What the world misses is that your character eventually becomes your reputation; because your character will over take your reputation. Who we are on the outside should be the same as who we are on the inside.

Some people just blend into wherever they are so you cannot really say who they really are. They are whoever you want them to be; they do not have character. It is important that we take time to develop character and God will help us build character as we continue on this journey, in Jesus Name.

All human beings are God’s beloved creation. When we understand this, we will begin to see people for what they mean to God. We begin to treat people with tenderness. When you make a mistake, Jesus forgives you and continues to treat you with love and respect. Even as Christians, many of us are not perfect but we want forgiveness. We want someone to have mercy on our mistakes. Guess what? Other people want that too. It is in the Lord’s Prayer that we should forgive others as God forgives us. And it is because those others are God’s children too; they are God’s creation.

When you make a mistake, Jesus forgives you and continues to treat you with love and respect. Why not do the same for the people around you? Sometimes, some of us are so quick to forget how much compassion we have received. We are quick to forget that if not because of someone’s compassion, we would not be saved. We would not have the jobs we have. Someone probably spoke up for you out of compassion. Yes, you were qualified but if that person had not felt some kind of compassion towards you, it might have been somebody else’s job today. You have received mercy; so be merciful.

When you feel lonely and insecure, the Holy Spirit comforts you and reassures you of God’s love. Why not give comfort and support to the people in your life also? When you do this, the atmosphere around you begins to change because people will be drawn to you. Always remember that all human beings are precious to God and we must see them as such.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to seize opportunities to show compassion even as You have been so compassionate towards me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
