Baseline

Josh. 5:¹³ “…Joshua …looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?” ¹⁴ “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord’s army.” …“I am at your command,” Joshua said…”

There are certain baselines you need to understand before you fight. The first is, you cannot fight if you do not take sides. In every warfare, you have to be on one side. People that are on the fence suffer blows from both sides of the war and thus have the most casualties. They are usually used as puppets and then trampled upon. You cannot fight if you do not take a stand. The second is, you cannot fight if you are not angry. As long as you continue to tolerate the situation, as long as you are not angry, you cannot produce victory. God wants you to stir up yourself so that you can fight because your destiny depends on it.

Matt.11:¹² “And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.” You need to be able to understand what the kingdom of heaven in this scripture represents to be able to connect to it. Your destiny is an extension of the kingdom of heaven. When you fulfill your destiny, the kingdom of heaven has expanded. Your home is an extension of the kingdom of heaven. Your career, your business are extensions of the kingdom of heaven. Your children [your godly seeds] are an extension of the kingdom of heaven. For the kingdom of heaven to advance, it suffers violence and violent people take it by force. It has to be by force because that is how life is. You have to fight!

To get married you have to fight. To stay married you have to fight. To have children, you have to fight. To keep those children, you have to fight. To get a job, you have to fight. To stay employed you have to fight. So instead of worrying about the year starting with the subject of battle, get excited because God is going to empower you in an unbelievable way. Matt.11:¹² [AMPC] “And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].”

You have a portion of the kingdom assigned to you from heaven.  Your destiny is a share of God’s kingdom and this share is sort after with most ardent zeal and intense exertion. You need to fight and you are not just fighting for yourself. There is a lot at stake. Believe it or not some people’s destinies are connected to yours. If you do not fulfil your destiny, they cannot fulfil theirs. If you are only thinking about yourself then you are not seeing the total picture. It is beyond you and I.

Prayer: In Jesus Name, I will stand, I will fight, and I will take my assigned portion of the kingdom and fight for every destiny connected to mine for God’s glory, in Jesus Name. Amen
