Unlikely Rescue

Isa.46:3 “Listen to me, …I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. 4 I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”

As adults, one of the things we learn with responsibility is, we like to own the outcome of the events in our lives. But there are certain times that you just need to do your best and leave the burden of outcomes to Jesus. You cannot control the outcomes of your life. You have followed God, you have served God, yet certain things have happened. It is what it is, just move on with your life. However, the problem with us is we try so hard to control the outcomes of our lives. Children always trust the outcomes of their lives to their parents. Have you noticed that your children do not bother about school fees? They just give you the teller and go off to play. We really need to learn from children to leave the burden of outcomes to Jesus, He is our Father.

Matt.6:27Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” You have to learn to leave the burden of outcomes to Jesus. God will certainly, without fail take care for you.

The first reason why God uses children is because they have absolute trust. The second reason is to confound the enemy. Sometimes, God just wants to bamboozle the enemy; just to show the enemy that he is absolutely nothing. Ps.8:2 [Voice] “From the mouths and souls of infants and toddlers, the most innocent, You have decreed power to stop Your adversaries and quash those who seek revenge”. God can bring you help from unexpected sources. God used a bird to bring sustenance to Elijah in 1 Kings 17. In fact, they tell us that the raven is a very strange and stingy bird. All other birds feed and take care of their young. The raven is the only bird that leaves its young to starve to death. Ravens are actually omnivorous birds, but most of their diet is meat.

However, God used a raven that eats flesh and that would not feed its own young to feed Elijah. That is just unbelievable. We just read that ravens brought him food but until we know these facts, we are not able to appreciate that ravens are the most unlikely source. God is able to take care of you in spite of the odds. Leave the burden of the outcomes of your life to Him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, do to me whatever You have planned, for You control my destiny. Dumbfound every enemy of my destiny, in Jesus Name. Amen!
