In Sync

Judg.7:19-22 “…Suddenly, they blew the rams’ horns and broke their clay jars …and they all shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” …all the Midianites rushed around in a panic …the Lord caused the warriors in the camp to fight against each other with their swords.”

The third thing required in birthing the sound of freedom is Prophetic Action. God wanted to do something, but He needed the children of Israel to take a certain posture.

Josh.6:15-16 “On the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times. 16 The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!” (emphasis added). Imagine the sound that will have filled the air, both the sound of the children of God and the sound of the walls coming down. 

Years ago, I read the book Angels on Assignment by Roland Buck. I think every Christian should read this book. It is the story of some pastor who was minding his own business and God decided to visit him and show him the angelic dimension of the faith. One of the angels that pushed down the wall of Jericho was the one talking to him and he said he almost freaked out. The angel told him that they did not push the wall down, they pushed it into the ground. Guess what? Archaeologists have now discovered that there is actually a city buried in that ground. Remember, the wall was like a city with buildings on it. Rahab lived on the wall. 

When you do prophetic actions, many times God just wants you to sync with heaven. In most cases, there will be angelic activities that will complete the leg that you cannot complete in the physical. In other words, while you do your own in the physical, God releases His angels to complete the spiritual part. Remember there is a physical dimension and a spiritual dimension to everything that happens. The shouting of the children of Israel was the prophetic action that released the angelic assistance and led to the shattering of the walls. 

Please read 2 Kings 13:15-17. In this story, as soon as the prophetic action was done backed up by the declaration, angels were released to make sure it happens. That is what happens when you align with God. I am not saying that you should just go around doing crazy things. What I am saying is, when you align to the Lord, when you are sensitive to what He is leading you to do, do it in faith and you will be shocked at what will happen. When praise and prayer are in place, backed up by sacrifice and prophetic action, the result is the sound of freedom.
