Do It Now!

Eccl. 11:4 “Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.”

Prov. 6:4 “Don’t procrastinate—there’s no time to lose.” (MSG). Most times, we just waste time. There is not going to be an ideal time, start it now! Just get it done! Do not waste time, the conditions are not going to be perfect. Some people say they will start working on the dream when things are right. Or that they will start tithing when their finances are in order. It does not work like that because the devil would ensure that the finances are never in order. There will always be something. When you start tithing, your finances will be in order.

Some say, ‘When things are perfect then I can be romantic with my spouse.’ Newsflash, things are not going to be perfect. We are living in a broken world. You have a baby that is in diapers and you want things to be perfect? It is not going to happen. There are going to be diapers with presents in them. There will be fighting. Things are not going to be perfect; you have to find a way to be romantic in the midst of the diapers. If you are waiting to be  on that island, sitting under a coconut tree with waves washing your feet to be romantic, it does not happen in real life. Maybe when you go on a vacation. But you cannot build your life wanting things to be perfect before you do what you need to do.

You are a father, and you need to spend time with your children. But you are waiting for the time when you will have eight hours straight to sit with them. When are you going to have eight hours? But you have thirty minutes today, spend that thirty minutes focused attention on them. The challenge is we want things to be set before we do things we have to do. Eccl.11:4He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].” (AMP). The Living Bible translation puts it this way, “If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done.” Life has to be lived in less than perfect conditions. You have to be the best God has called you to be in less than perfect conditions. You have to make the best out of everything in less than perfect conditions. If the Bible says the condition is not going to be perfect, why are you waiting for perfect conditions? Start now, get it done, set the sail.

The fifth thing you need to do for your ship to set sail is Select A Partner [or partners] to do this journey with. Select someone who is going to come side by side with you. Eccl. 4:9Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. It’s better to have a partner than go it alone.” (NLT & MSG). You are not Rambo. The Bible says it is better to have a partner than  go it alone, so select a partner. It is better to have a partner; so, if you have a dream, you need to get someone else involved in that dream if you want the dream to be a reality.

Prayer: Father, help me to act immediately on the dreams You have put in my heart and choose the right partner for me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
