Your Move

Rom.10:15 “And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That’s why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God!” (MSG)

I pray that because you have come into the presence of God today, that God will breathe on you and teach you His Word by Himself. I pray that God will change your life and take you higher still. I also pray that what God needs to do in this season will be clear to you in Jesus Mighty Name. It is your move! Over the next few days, we will be looking at a story in Mark 2:1-12. In days past, the focus and the emphasis have been on prayer and fasting. Now we are focusing on what to do next. Please read Mark 2:1-12. I pray that by the time this season is over, what God will do in your life will stun the people around you and they will declare that they have never seen anyone so favoured by God in their generation and the generations before them. in the Name of Jesus. Like the man in Mark 2:1-12, very often we come to God with our challenges and expect that God will just solve the problem. Yes, He will but often times God will go to the root cause to solve the problem. The man’s friends brought their paralysed friend to Jesus and Jesus said the root cause of this problem is sin. Mark 2:5 “…Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” When we come to Jesus for help with a habit, a negative recurring pattern in our lives, very often He will point us to the root cause that we have to deal with.

Mark 2:3-4 four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.” A lot of us are familiar with this story of the paralytic that Jesus healed. However, we are shifting our focus to the four men that brought him to Jesus and what we can learn from them. The four men also represent you and me; they had a friend who needed God and it was their move. Will they just sit down and watch their friend or will they do something to orchestrate his freedom? And like these four men, it is our move.

We shared earlier that our focus has been on fasting and praying. Miracles are happening already, and our lives are being transformed to the glory of God. However, the question is what are you going to do about the people around you that you know need God? There are people in your life that need an intervention from God, what are you going to do about it? The truth is that some people cannot fulfil their destiny in God on their own, they need you. This man could not get to Jesus by himself, he needed his friends. It is your move, and it is my move. Jesus is here, releasing His Word, it is your move. Why didn’t this man’s friend say, there is no more space in Jesus’ house, there is no need to bother taking our friend there? As long as Jesus is alive, we will keep reaching out to people for His Kingdom. Beginning tomorrow, we will be looking at seven things we can learn from the four friends of the paralytic who made a move that made a huge impact in the life of their friend.

Prayer: Father, please give me the grace to do all that You require of me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
