About Finances

Prov. 14:24 “Wealth is a crown for the wise; the effort of fools yields only foolishness.”

The first of three takeaways to be battle ready are, Let God Be God. Let God do what only He can do. The challenge from the beginning of time with Adam and Eve was they were trying to be God. And that was the temptation satan used to get Eve. Gen.3:5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” It is just crazy because we are already created in God’s image. Eve and Adam were already in the image of God. So, satan trying to sell them what they already have.

Am I saying that we are gods? God said so Himself, but we are not God. There is only one God; we are His children made in His image, but there is only one God. And guess what? It is not to you. God is God. Matt.23:12 “But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” I pray in the Name of Jesus, that as you humble your heart before God, God Himself will exalt you, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Every form of stress in your life be diffused. You will live a totally stress-free life, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

To be battle ready, takeaway number two is, Have Faith And Walk In Wisdom. Everything is so important, but this is the crux, the heart of this whole thing. You should have faith and walk in wisdom. In other words, expect the best, and plan for the worst. God wants us to both expect the best and plan for the worst so that we can have margin in our lives. Having margin creates space for all the great things that God wants to do in your life. God wants to do amazingly great things in your life. And having margin gives that space for heaven to move in and make things happen. So, we are going to look at five major areas of life beginning today, and we are going to see how we can create margin, how we can have faith, and walk in wisdom.

The first aspect of life is your Finances. How do you create margin? How do you have faith and walk in wisdom? How do you expect the best and plan for the worst in your finances? Invest your money. And to invest your money, you need to expect the best and plan for the worst. For instance, there is an investment before you; expect the best, work towards the best, but also plan for the worst. If this thing bellies up, what is going to happen to me? If this investment goes sour, what is going to happen to ABC? Expect the best and plan for the worst. Prov.21:20 “The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.” (TLB). If you spend whatever you get, you are a foolish man or woman, that is what the Bible says. I did not call you foolish, the Bible says you are a foolish man or woman if you spend everything you get. If you spend everything you earn, you are a foolish person. Wow! What has been your story before now and how can you begin to create margin in your finances? Invest your money!

Prayer: Father, even as I invest my money, I ask for the wisdom and the capacity to retain wealth and not squander everything I get, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
