Door Dynamics
John 10:9 “I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security).” (AMP)
Some time ago, we looked at the concept of doors and their significance. When you go through a door, it can be an entrance or an exit. When you go through a door, you are entering somewhere and exiting somewhere else. So, the door is actually a metaphor for so many things- for opportunities, success, etc. Doors are so pivotal; therefore, we need to understand doors and how to navigate doors. However, there is The Door, Jesus and He says to us “I AM THE DOOR! Everyone who comes in through me will be saved!” (paraphrased, with emphasis added).
Jesus is not just a door, a random door, a hinged door, a flush door, a French door, a burglary door, or a security door. Jesus is The Door and today we have come to The Door Himself. And Jesus says anyone who comes through Him will be saved. In other words, Jesus is the entrance to salvation and the exit from damnation. Jesus is the entrance to eternal life and the exit from eternal condemnation. In life, your success and happiness are largely determined by the door that you walk through or the door that you walk past. You need to just walk past certain doors, however, some doors you have to walk through.
The doors you walk through and the doors you walk past, determine your destiny largely. Some of the doors will lead to opportunities of greatness, opportunities of abundance, and different kinds of opportunities. However, some of the doors are traps. So, when there is a door, an opportunity, or an opening for you to take advantage of, it could be a trap. So, what you need to learn is how to always go through The Door. Why? It is because some doors are an entrance to a palace, and some other doors are actually an exit from prison. So, I pray today, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that the doors you will walk through will lead you into your palaces. And the doors you walk through will also exit you from your prisons.
Whatever prison you might have been in, as you walk through that door, you are walking out of that prison in the Name of Jesus. You could say that you are not in prison. Debt can be a prison; if you are in debt, you are in prison. A habit can be a prison. Do you have the habit of drinking, smoking, womanizing, or watching pornography? Whatever the habit is, it can actually be a trap. A relationship can be a trap. You can be in a relationship and feel trapped, feel like you are in bondage. The expectations of others can also be a trap.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You, The Door, guide my steps away from trap doors and into the doors that will accelerate my destiny for Your Name sake, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
