Stand Your Ground

Exodus 17:12 “Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.”

We will kick-off today with our final thought from yesterday, which is that boredom is for children. As an adult, you have to give what it takes to achieve what is before you. And spiritually is the same, you cannot afford boredom. In our God Will Do It Again seasons for example, during our week of daily mini-vigils, do I get bored perhaps after the third or fourth day? Not at all because in the presence of God there is fullness of joy. You strike and keep on striking such that it is Elisha that will beg you to stop. That is how it should be. Sadly, childishness has robbed a lot of people of their destinies.

Like Moses, you stay on the top of that mountain with your hands up until you break the back. And as you stay, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will break the back of your enemies. Advantage is secured at the spiritual mountain, and it takes physical exertion to sustain a spiritual advantage. The solution to physical tiredness during spiritual activity is support and not a break. Exodus 17:13As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.” As you stand your ground and give it all it takes, you will overwhelm the army of Amalek in battle in Jesus Name. Everything that represents Amalek in your life, as you stand your ground, you will overwhelm them in the Name of Jesus. (say Amen).

Exodus 17:14After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” The victory you are going to have will be a permanent reminder for you and for your children in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Every force of Amalek in your life, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God will erase their memory from under heaven in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Exodus 17:15Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the Lord is my banner”). It will be your story, by the time it is all said and done, you will raise a banner and you will say, the Lord is my banner, Jehovah Nissi.

Exodus 17:16 He said, “They have raised their fist against the Lord’s throne, so now the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.” And because you are God’s throne, because they have raised a fist against God’s throne, the Lord will be at war with them from generation to generation, to their children and their children’s children in the Name of Jesus.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for strength, support, and overwhelming victory in this season, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
