Positioning
Ephesians 2:6 “For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.”
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us…” Do not worry about the things that have not been revealed. Focus on understanding and doing the things that have been revealed. The things that are revealed make faith possible. It is the revelation that is being proclaimed, preached, and spoken forth that makes faith possible. However, the things that are hidden make faith necessary. Again, the things that are revealed make faith possible and the things that are hidden make faith necessary.
And as we go on this journey, we should realize that without faith we cannot be limitless. The Christian walk itself is a walk of faith. When people come to Christ, they come to Christ by faith. Once people come to Christ by faith, their position changes. They are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light, into the Kingdom of God. Therefore, Christian conversion is not a change in circumstance. Neither is it an immediate change in behaviour. It is a change in position. But as you come into the fullness, the limitlessness of that positioning, your behaviour will change. And your circumstance will inevitably change.
But we mostly focus on changing the circumstance. We focus on being limitless in our circumstances and in behaviour. While we are not taking our position in Christ, it is going to be at best just dogma, religion, frustrating, and cagey. People put a lot of effort into changing their circumstances and wanting to experience being limitless in their circumstance. And that is okay, but all of these are a by-product. People say things like if I am serving a Living God, why don’t I have… fill in the blank. Or why is this still happening to me? Or if I am serving a Living God, why am I still struggling with these feelings, behaviours, or habits?
We struggle in these areas not realizing that if we can be… Just take that position in Christ, understand it, and be all that Christ has for us. Inevitably, our behaviours will change. You do not see a prince in the palace behaving like a beggar. It does not happen because of his positioning; he is robbed in royalty. Similarly, you cannot expect him to be limited, he understands palace protocols, so his behaviour will fall in line. You do not start with behaviour or with circumstance. You start with being, with positioning. We are seated with Him in the heavenly places far above principalities and powers.
Prayer: Father, deepen my understanding and faith so I can be limitless, in Jesus Name. Amen!
