Every Word!

Hebrews 4:12-13 “God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything… laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one can resist God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.”

It is all about your faith. Do not lose your faith. Tied to your faith is your praise. If you do not lose your faith, you will not lose your praise. If you do not lose your praise, guess what? Your family will be restored. Your finances will be restored.

Your fitness will be restored. Your friendships will be restored. Your farm will be restored. It is all about your faith. What I am saying in essence is that your faith will be tested. Faith that is not tested really has not been refined. The faith of the widow in 2 Kings 4 was tested. Your faith will be tested. So, a test can be a Trial or a Temptation. The intention and who is behind it is different in each case. If it is a trial the Person behind it is God, and the intention is so that you will pass and be promoted. If it is a temptation, the person behind it is satan, and the intention is so that you will fall and be destroyed. But regardless, it is a test, and you will pass this test in the Name of Jesus.

In the case of Jesus, it was a temptation. Jesus had fasted for forty days and forty nights. Matthew 4:3-4During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (emphasis added). The devil tempted Jesus, he wanted him to fall. But Jesus answered him quoting Deuteronomy. So, even when our physical needs are real, the Word of God is realer. Jesus was hungry, but He was saying in essence, even though my hunger is real, but the Word of God is realer. You have physical needs, and they are real, but guess what? The Word of God is realer.

It could be a trial like in the case of the Jews in Deuteronomy 8:3Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” (emphasis added). Who humbled them? God. Theirs was a trial, a test in trial form, not a temptation. However, whether it is a trial from God meant for promotion, or a temptation from the devil meant to destroy, the solution is the Word of God. Faith will be tested and like the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4, faith always produces results. The widow had an abundance at the end of the day. You will have abundance in the Name of Jesus because Your faith will produce results in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Prayer: Father, in the Name of Jesus, I will live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God, I will pass every test, every trial, and every temptation, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
