Sõzõ!

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (NKJV)

One thing I do is, I take God’s Word very personally. I realized a long time ago that it is only God I have. If you realize that it is only God you have, half of your problem is solved. When I realized that it is only God I have, I decided that day to take God very seriously. The second half is, if it is going to be, it is up to me. Read the rest of this entry

Roots

1 Timothy 2:8-10 “…what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God… doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.” (MSG)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is, Lazarus was delivered but he was not free. Do you mean that after that powerful Word brought the man from the dead, carried him, and presented him before the people, he still was not free? No! We confuse deliverance with freedom many times. Compass

Isaiah 64:3-4 “When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked! For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”

Martha made very boastful statements about what she believed, but did Martha really believe? John 11:39 Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”Martha objected, protested, carried a placard, she resisted Jesus. Sometimes we say very high-sounding nonsense. Read the rest of this entry
