One Another

James 5:16 “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Eccl.4:9Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Temporal vs. Eternal

Ps.24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.  The world and all its people belong to him.”

Contrite Heart

2 Cor. 7:10For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death” [NKJV].

 

David says in Ps.51:17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise.” The reason why people are able to go back to their sin is because they do not experience that contriteness of heart. Read the rest of this entry

Confess & Forsake!

Prov.28:13 “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” [with emphasis].

 

Peter was going to go home a sad man, without food for his family that day because he had tried all night but did not catch any fish. Jesus did not have to be kind to Peter and Jesus did not have to promote Peter. Read the rest of this entry
