2 Corinthians 9:6 “Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.”

God Promises He Will Multiply What You Give Him. Therefore, giving is not a debt I owe. Giving is a seed I sow. When you pay a debt you owe, you have paid the debt.

Some people say, I am indebted, I have to give. When you pay a debt, that money is gone to service the debt. But when you sow a seed, that money is not gone. That money is going to boomerang in multiples back to you. 2 Corinthians 9:10-11And God, who supplies seed for the sower and bread to eat, will also supply you with all the seed you need and will make it grow and produce a rich harvest from your generosity. He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times” (GNT, emphasis added).

With God, you can give by reason or you can give by revelation. Giving by reason says, what do I have? What can I afford to give? Yes, that is fine, that is level one. Giving by revelation says, what do you want me to give? This is you asking God what He really wants you to give. Then you give what He says. And the truth is when we give the harvest is mostly not immediate. You plant in one season, and you reap in another season. You plant in the sowing season, in the planting season. But you reap in the harvest season (in another season).

This is not gambling. This is sowing and reaping. A young man waited for the Pastor after service and said to the Pastor, “Pastor, tithing is not working for me.” And his Pastor said to him, “Okay, let’s talk about it.” So, they sat down, and the pastor asked him, “When did you really begin to tithe?” And the young man said, “I started tithing last week.” People are looking for a magician. That is why a lot of ‘fake’ pastors are out there taking advantage of people because they have itchy ears. People are looking for magicians.

And the young man’s Pastor explained to him that you plant in one season, and you reap in another season. And the consistency is what makes the difference. So, the Pastor encouraged him, and he continued to tithe. Ecclesiastes 11:1 Be generous, and someday you will be rewarded.” (CEV). Be generous, keep at it, and one day you will be rewarded.

Prayer (hymn): Standing on the promises that cannot fail. When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail. By the living Word of God I shall prevail. Standing on the promises of God.

Standing (x3) on the promises of God my Saviour… Amen!
