Esther 6:^1-2 “That night the king couldn’t sleep. He ordered the record book, the day-by-day journal of events, to be brought and read to him. They came across the story there about the time that Mordecai had exposed the plot of Bigthana and Teresh… to assassinate King Xerxes.” (MSG)

Remembrance and remembering are a big part of restoration, and God will remember you for good in the Name of Jesus. Another thing God does is that God causes people to remember you God causes people to remember other people for good. For instance, in the case of Haman, Esther, and Mordecai, God took the king’s sleep away so that he would remember Mordecai. There are people that God will take their sleep away so that they will remember you for good in the Name of Jesus. Even in the remaining part of this year, the people who need to remember you will remember you, and they will remember you for good in the Name of Jesus.

God works through people; that is just how He has chosen to do things. The challenge is that sometimes we tend to want to choose the people God should work through, or the time God should work through them. So, we see someone who can help, and we ask the person to remember us, right? But we don’t understand that help only comes from above, help comes from God. When God remembers you, God will cause men to remember you. And when people don’t remember us sometimes, we get upset and sometimes even bitter at them. But God is saying to you today, “Don’t worry about it, I will remember you.”

We see a classic story in Genesis 40. What had happened was Pharaoh’s baker and the cupbearer were in prison for some reason, obviously for divine reasons. And at that time, Joseph was also in prison. These two men had gone to Joseph with their dreams, and Joseph interpreted their dreams. The cupbearer was going to be restored, but the baker was going to be beheaded. And that was what happened. When Joseph had interpreted the cupbearer’s dream, something very interesting happened in Genesis 40:^14-15 “But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.” (NIV).

However, in spite of all his begging, in Genesis 40:²³ “The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.” (NIV). How do you think Joseph felt? Do you appear to have been forgotten? Don’t worry. In fact, it is a good prayer that the people who need to forget you will forget you until it is time for them to remember you.

Prayer: Father, remember me and cause men to remember me for good, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
