The Best Place

Exodus 33:19&22 “…I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you… As my glorious presence passes by, I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.”

Have you heard people say, I am in God’s hands? Typically, when people say that it usually points to the fact that they are in a very perplexing or dicey situation. Or that they are not very hopeful for at best. However, this season, your perspective is going to change because every time you say you are in God’s hands, you will be confident that the outcome will be in your favour in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Why? Psalm 118:16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!” So, when you say I am in God’s hands, you are in a place where mighty things will be done in your favour.

The best place to still be, even when you offend God, is in God’s hands. David counted God’s people when he shouldn’t have, and God was not pleased. The Bible says that the Word of the Lord came to the prophet Gad, who was David’s seer, David was to choose one of three punishments, three years of famine, three months of fleeing from his enemies, or three days of severe plague. And David said to Gad in 2 Samuel 24:14I’m in a desperate situation!” David replied to Gad. “But let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands.” I pray in the Name of Jesus, that you will not fall into the hands of men. Even when you are in trouble or you have offended heaven, the best place to be is in God’s hands.

David knew God’s ways. David knew that God was a merciful God. That is His way. It is normal for God to be merciful. So, I would rather be in His hands than in the hands of men. Men are brutal. When the angel was about to consume Jerusalem at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, God said it was okay. And David must have said, I know You are merciful. You are kind. You are good. You are loving. Even when you offend Him, run into God’s hands because that is the safest place for you. The hand of God is so comforting. His hands laid the foundation of the earth. The hand of God? I thought the Bible says by His Word the earth was formed.

That is correct. In Genesis 1, God said, let there be light and there was light. But God in describing creation said, “My hand formed the heavens…” So, what was going on there? He brought it together in Isaiah 48:13It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above. When I call out the stars, they all appear in order.” Meaning that when God’s Word goes forth, the hand of God is released to bring it to pass.

Prayer: Father, I am in Your Hands, and I am staying there because there is no place I would rather be. Help me receive all that You have for me this season, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
