The Why

Job 32:⁸ “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” (KJV).

The Holy Spirit wants to activate your brain and give you solutions to amazingly complex problems. But you have to exercise your brain (mind), so that you do not place a limit on God.

For instance, two people have been called and anointed by God.Person A is a stark illiterate. When Person A speaks, the sentences are fraught with grammatical errors. Person A is intelligent and anointed, no doubt, but not exposed or educated. When Person A lays hands on people, they get healed. When Person A prays, the results are undeniable. Person B on the other hand, is also anointed but educated, enlightened, and exposed. Believe it or not, Person B will achieve much more for God, because Person B’s mind places no limits on God.

Even though it is the same God Person A and Person B are carrying, the mind that is exposed, stretched, educated, and has been exercised can go to more places for God than the mind that is unlearned and restricted. Note that this has nothing to do with being classist or being discriminatory. It is simply a person who is limited, because his brain cannot express what he can see. Imagine someone who has never seen a big screen TV trying to describe a vision of him speaking on a big screen TV to his congregation. He will always start by saying, “I have never seen such a thing before, moving pictures of people appearing in a box”.

He will describe it as best as he can, but it may not communicate much. However, if he knows what a big-screen TV is, he will be able to describe it in more accurate terms. What I am saying is that the limitation is not a function of the capacity of the God that is in him. The limitation is in the capacity of the brain that he is exercising and deploying. Stretch your brain, stretch your mind. How do you stretch your mind? A couple of ways, but remember, the Bible says once you start do not hold back. In other words, it may be tough for you to do it but do it. Do not hold back because you are about to break forth to the right and the left and be enlarged roundabout. What are the ways? What I am about to tell you is something you have never heard before. Are you ready?

#1. The Books You Read. I know you know this already, but what have you done about it? Could you sustain it? Have you not been holding back? How many books have you read this year? One of the ways of stretching your imagination, your mind, is to read books. Just read.
