Expansion

Isaiah 54:2-3 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities. (NIV &NLT)

As you move in directions that will enlarge you, you will be stretched. The natural human response is to hold back. Inherent in stretching is stressing. And when the stressing begins there is a tendency for us to want to hold back. However, God is saying do not hold back. Instead, enlarge the place of your tent and stretch forth the curtains of your habitation. When a material is stretched, the material is stressed. That is why materials have what is called an elastic limit. The point at which any more stressing will break that material. There are a lot of people who are breaking, people who have been stretched by life, and feel they are at their breaking point. God will strengthen you in the Name of Jesus.

So, if you feel like you are about to break, and you cannot stretch anymore. God’s Word to you today is that you are about to be enlarged. You will go beyond what you already know as your breaking point. And it is because you are exchanging your weakness for His strength. I pray that God will continue to give you understanding as He opens your heart to see and receive His Word in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Psalm 119:143As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.” I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that you will find joy in God’s Word. We all are believing God for an enlargement of territory in different ways. It may be a financial territory, relational territory, or business territory.

So, when we think of enlargement, we think of the territory that needs to be enlarged.  However, there are things that need to be enlarged, things we can enlarge, that will result in our territory being enlarged. We are making the effort to enlarge our territory, but God is saying, no, enlarge these things then inadvertently your territory will be enlarged. And from the inserted image, we see that the mind is the first place that enlargement needs to happen. When your mind is enlarged, it leads to the enlargement of your heart. You become large-hearted, and being large-hearted means that you are forgiving, kind-hearted, generous, and that you are becoming more and more like God. Over the next few days, we will turn our focus to the strength bit of things.

Prayer: Father, I open my heart to receive Your Word for me this season and beyond. I receive the courage to let go, and let God enlarge my territory, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
