Production System
Psalm 65:9-10 “You take care of the land. You water it and make it fertile… That’s how you make the crops grow. You pour rain on the ploughed fields; you soak the fields with water. You make the ground soft with rain, and you make the young plants grow.” (ERV)
Today’s devotional is a continuation of the final point from yesterday. However, the image inserted in today’s devotional is slightly different from the image that was in yesterday’s devotional. We established that God works with interconnected systems. The question is, how does God do that? God teaches us using the agricultural setting. For example, when it rains, that is the system of the first gear.
The rain has to be connected to something. What does the rain connect to? That will be the second gear, and what the rain connects to is your land. Then your land is connected to the third gear, your harvest (seed). The way this works is that when the rain is coming, the land has to be ready. If all that happens is rain falling on a rock, the land is not ploughed, tilled, and seeds have not been planted. The effect of the rain at best is to cool the temperature. The systems that God creates and works are interconnected systems.
And we see this even in the human body. The human body is full of systems. For example, the respiratory system, you take in oxygen. And the oxygen from the respiratory system gets into the circulatory system, into your bloodstream, right? Then from the bloodstream it gets into every other system. Through your nervous system, it gets to your brain. The digestive system is the system that receives and transforms the food you eat into energy that goes to every part of your body. All the systems are interconnected. The question is, what production system, what land are you hooking up to these showers of blessings?
Your land could be your factory, your education, or your business, but there has to be something that the rain will fall on. I pray in the Name of Jesus that the rain will fall on your land this season. Your land could be your entrepreneurial activities or your profession. What is the land that the rain will fall on that will trigger the harvest? The rain will not be wasted in your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus. God is faithful; He is the one who commands the rain to fall. God always does His part by sending the rain. But most times, the land is not ready; it has not been prepared. There is no seed, nothing in it. But God keeps doing His part. Beginning from today, you will capitalize on God’s rain, and you will move into abundance.
Prayer: Father, help me identify and engage my land this season of rain, in Jesus Name. Amen!
