2020 Vision
Mark 8:22&25 “…some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him… Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.”
Your eyes will be opened, and your sight will be completely restored in the Mighty Name of Jesus. And you will see everything clearly in the Mighty Name of Jesus. As we continue in the journey to restoration, for the next few days, we will focus on restoring sight. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that sight and vision will be restored this season. Please read Mark 8:22-26, it is a classic story of the restoration of sight. In the Name of Jesus, physical sight, mental sight, and spiritual sight will be restored this season because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In this story of restoration, the Bible says that he was restored fully, and he could see clearly. We don’t know if the man was born blind or not.
However, if the man was born blind, and the Bible says he was fully restored. Then the question is, restored to what? The reality is that not everybody who can see has perfect vision. So, maybe this man did not have perfect vision. Does the Bible then mean that he was completely restored to how his sight was, or completely restored to how it should be? Restoration is not taking you back to where you were. Restoration is taking you to where you ought to be. God’s restoration is not taking you back to where you were; it suggests that, but it is deeper than that. When God restores you, He is taking you back to where you ought to be.
The only indicator that this man could see previously was in his response to Jesus’ question in Mark 8:23-24 “…Can you see anything now?” The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.” This suggests that he could recognize trees, and he could recognize men. So, he knew what seeing ought to be. If he was born blind, he probably would not know what seeing ought to be. So, God was not restoring him to where he ought to be. Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust…” (NKJV).
I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that God will indeed restore to you the years that the locust has eaten. However, when God says He will restore the years, He is restoring to you the things that you should have accomplished in those years. He will compress it and release the restoration of those years to you. So, if you could see but you couldn’t see clearly, restoration would mean that you begin to see perfectly. You have 20/20 Vision, as it is called.
Prayer: Father, I receive Your Word of restoration of sight to me this season and beyond, I see clearly as I ought to see, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
