You Matter To Your Generation
‘For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption’ Acts.13:36
You are part of God’s big picture. Picture a puzzle and how many different pieces it takes to get a complete picture. God’s picture is similar to that puzzle and all of us are represented as pieces of the puzzle. Going further, when you take a closer look at the pieces that make up the puzzle, each piece is made of holes and areas that protrude. The areas that protrude, it plugs into other pieces and the holes other pieces plug into it. All of us are also made that way. We have parts of our lives where we operate in abundance of strength but we also have areas of our lives were we are seemingly deficient or weak. Like the pieces of the puzzle, it is your strength that fits into another person’s weakness. And another person’s strength fits into your own weaknesses. God alone is self-sufficient. You need to allow other people to plug into your weaknesses so that you can feed off their strengths. Some people are so scared of being vulnerable. They run away when they see that their lives are going to be exposed and their weaknesses brought to light. Until you are vulnerable, you can never be complete. There will always be something missing. God has put us together such that when we are together, there are no weaknesses because the strengths take over completely. Your strength overshadows the next persons weakness and vice versa. There are people whose destinies are connected to yours. The more you fulfill your destiny, the better equip they are to fulfill their own destinies in your generation. It may be difficult to imagine. Humorous even to see how your life can affect your generation. That is God’s business entirely. When you step out in faith and determined to be useful to your generation, you will discover that there are destinies that are attached to your destiny. ‘For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep…’Acts.13:36. It should be our prayer that by the time we exit this world, we would have served our generation according to the will of God.
Prayer: Father, I pray in the Name of Jesus that my body will not see corruption until I have served my generation according to Your will and fulfilled my destiny, in Jesus Name.
