You Need To Know IV

‘Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour’ Isa.45:15 [KJV]

You need to know that God commits to ‘what’ but doesn’t always commit to ‘how’. God, most of the time, will commit to ‘what’ He will do. He will commit to His promises for you. He will commit to the big picture that He has for you. He will make personal promises to you, perhaps in the area of fruitfulness, finances, promotions or establishment. God commits to ‘what’ but God never commits to ‘how’. The ‘how’ He will do it stays with Him. I have a feeling that God does not commit to ‘how’ because He wants us to rely on Him totally. When you know ‘how’ He is going to do it, sometimes you tend to get a little bit puffed up. When God shows us ‘how’, it is entirely His decision to let us into the ‘how’. Yet more often than not, He doesn’t. Sometimes when God hides from you, it causes you to seek Him. ‘Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the SaviourIsa.45:15 [KJV]. God says your marriage will be good but ‘how’ eludes you because your spouse is giving you a tough time. All you can hold onto is the ‘what’ God has said He will do. Between ‘what’ and ‘how’ is our greatest unrest as people. What God will do and how God will do it. ‘What’ has to do with the promise and ‘how’ has to do with timing. What you do when you find yourself in the place of knowing ‘what’ but not knowing ‘how’ is you wait. However, we humans do not like waiting at all. He is the God of the Heavens and the earth; you have to learn to wait for Him. ‘But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint Isa.40:31 [KJV]. Before the mounting up comes, there has to be a waiting. Renewed strength only comes in the presence of the Father, while you are waiting on Him. Delay is not denial. God most often will not work according to your timing. For the ‘how’ to happen, certain things need to be in order and these things can only be tackled in waiting.

Prayer [song]: Lord, ‘I will wait for You, Almighty God; in the beauty of Your holiness. I will worship You, Almighty God; in the beauty of Your holiness’, in Jesus Name.
