Countdown

‘While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal’ 2cor 4:18

Is your focus on the temporal pain or the eternal gain? When you look at pain this way, it makes it bearable. Whenever you feel like the situation is unbearable, check, most times you are focusing on the wrong thing. We are able to bear pain when we are not looking at our current predicament. Rather, keeping our focus on the purposes of God for us. The greatness of the destiny God has planned for us and is currently playing out before our eyes. The tree that becomes the seat of the king passes through repeated carving, chiseling and shaping before it is pronounced ready for greatness. If your greatness is exceeding, there usually is a lot of pain, it comes with the deal. Every challenge you go through has a countdown in Heaven. Right now, the time you spend reading this devotional, that problem you are experiencing is expiring. You have not seen your best days yet. A new born baby is proof that someone has just gone through 9months of back ache and broke through. Calm down, because God is about to speak into your life. When there was darkness over the face of the earth, there was confusion … the Spirit of the Lord hovered and God said. To precede any dramatic change there has to be a dramatic word. God gives a word that looks impossible but be sure that it will surely come to pass. No Word of God will return to Him unaccomplished. ‘Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou brought us out into a wealthy placePs.66:12 (KJV). Before the introduction of the wealthy place, men will walk over you. Stop resisting the process because it will cause you to stay longer in the furnace. You are coming into your wealthy place. You need to let go of what God is trying to shape out of you through this process.

Prayer: Father, thank You indeed for giving me a new perspective. Thank You for renewing my mind by the Word. I enter into my wealthy place by the power of Your Spirit.

  1. When you are going through pain-because you definitely will. God is shaping you for the palace. Don’t refuse it, stay there and let Him finish His work in you So that the greatness of the promise land will not choke you and eventually kill you.

The suffering of this present times are nothing compared to the glory which shall be revealed.

  2. ‘God gives a word that looks impossible but be sure that it will surely come to pass’.

Today’s devotion is such a comfort and so so timely!
I choose to set my eyes on the goal before me, pressing on into the wealthy place God has for me, in Jesus Name!

Lets always remember that God’s wealthy place can sometimes be different from what we have our hearts set on but i take His own every day and twice on Sunday.

  3. There is nothing like focusing on the big picture, what God has in store for us, this will help us worry less.

  4. This indeed is a word in season. I recently passed through a season(and I know God is still working…especially on me) . Though I had felt deprived and abused for a long time the Holy Spirit helped me out of my ‘dark state’ as I reached out to people who had much more pains than I could have. I actually find out out that I was in ‘I’dolatory even though my pains were genuine, there was no way I could be justified thinking out a fleshy solution. It wouldn’t have been worth it, I know for sure that the pain will sure work a weight of glory. Thank u Jesus!
