His Sheep?

Prov.8:18 (VOICE) “Riches and honor are the benefit of following me; so are lasting wealth and justice. 19 My reward is better than gold, even the purest gold; and my profit is greater than the highest quality silver.”

Today, we continue with the concluding thought from yesterday’s devotional, which is, there are only three times that God does not supply. The first is when it is time to go home. God will not supply healing when it is time to go home. Even if He does, the person would still have to go. But it is not time for you to go so, this really does not apply to you. You just need to know for knowledge sake. The second is when God is trying to strip us of self-sufficiency. When we are still too independent, sometimes God will not supply. This is why it is important that you learn the lessons God wants you to learn and you learn them fast.

God is the Ancient of Days, He does not grow old. If it takes you one day to learn, you graduate in one day. If it takes you one year to learn, then you graduate after a year. If it takes you ten years to learn, God is very patient. The question is how long is it going to take you? Will it be today, this year, or this decade. I pray it will be today for you in Jesus Name. The third reason that God would not supply, the third reason God is not committed to supplying, is if you are not His sheep. David says, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Ps.37:25 (NIV) I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” If you are not God’s sheep, you are not immune from recession, you are not immune from anything. Today, my prayer is that everyone reading this will experience an overflow.

The first reason God does not supply does not apply to anyone reading this because it is not time to go. The second applies to some of us, but my prayer is that you will learn the lessons God is teaching you quickly so that you can partake in the overflow. The third applies to people who know in their hearts that they cannot call Jesus their shepherd. My prayer for you is that today you will become His sheep and partake in the overflow. The first step for those in category three is to surrender to Jesus and say goodbye to the world. For some, the first step is to admit we have been behaving like goats even though we are in church. Sheep listen and obey but goats are stubborn. If this is you, you need to repent today and make a U-turn. As you surrender to God, you will not lack spiritually. You will not lack anything good because God does not withhold anything good from those who love Him.

Prayer: Father, I ask that You show me a token for good because You are my shepherd, in Jesus Name. Amen!
