When God Speaks, III

Ezekiel 34:14-15 “Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills. I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign Lord.”

What should you expect when God speaks to you?

#1: As you are led by God’s Spirit, All Your Needs Will Be Met.

#2. As you are led by God’s Spirit, Your Placement Will Be Strategic.

#3. As you are led by God’s Spirit, You Will Live A Righteous Life.

#4. As you are led by God’s Spirit, Fear Will Be Far Away From You.

#5. As you are led by the Spirit of God, You Will Be Honoured.

#6. As you are led by God’s Spirit, You Will Be Promoted.

#7. As you are led by God’s Spirit, You Secure Your Place In God’s Presence. I pray, in the Name of Jesus, that in God’s presence your place will not be vacant. As His child, you have a place in God’s presence, and my prayer is that your place will not be vacant in the Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Staying Power

John 16:1 “I have told you these things so that you won’t abandon your faith.”

We cannot thank God enough for the transformation we are experiencing through His Word and our study in the Book of John. God is not done with us yet. If you could ask God one question right now, what will it be? Our anchor text for the next few days is John 16:1-33 [please read]. Read the rest of this entry

Ex. 3:13-14 “But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?” God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.”

I read this and wondered, Moses why not just ask, “What is Your Name? I want to know Your Name.” Instead of narrating this long epistle about people asking and not knowing what to tell them. Do you know His Name, Moses, are you not interested in knowing His Name? Read the rest of this entry

In Relationship

John 14:10-11 “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me…”

How is your study of John chapters 12, 13, and 14 going? Remember to form discussion groups and share. As we obey, God will open the Book of remembrance for us in Jesus Name. Over the next few days, we will be diving into John 15:1-27 [please read]. This chapter is super loaded. Read the rest of this entry

Engrave It

John 10:28-29 “And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (AMP]

John 10:24-26So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. Read the rest of this entry

Steward Time

Luke 16:10-11 “Whoever is faithful in small matters will be faithful in large ones; whoever is dishonest in small matters will be dishonest in large ones. If, then, you have not been faithful in handling worldly wealth, how can you be trusted with true wealth?” (GNT].

We are still wrestling with the question from two days ago, which is, with God’s work, are you a hireling or a shepherd? In your office, in your home and family, are you a hireling or a shepherd? If you are not faithful in that which is another’s, how can God commit even yours to you? A lot of times, Read the rest of this entry

God Sees, Knows, & Rewards

John 10:12–13 “But the worker who serves only for wages is not a real shepherd. Because he has no heart for the sheep he will run away and abandon them when he sees the wolf coming. And then the wolf mauls the sheep, drags them off, and scatters them.” (TPT]

We will start today’s devotional by wrestling with this question: with God’s work, are you a hireling [a hired servant] or a shepherd? What is your approach to your work, your vocation in the market place? Do you approach it as a hired servant or is it as an owner? The truth is, wealth does not flow to you Read the rest of this entry

By The Ear

Isa.30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

In John 20:11-18 [please read], Mary went to the tomb where Jesus had been buried but had now resurrected. Outside the tomb, She saw a man who she mistook for a gardener. Even though it was Jesus standing there, she did not recognize Him. He asked her, ‘Who are you looking for, young lady?’ Read the rest of this entry

Voice ID

John 10:3 “and because the gatekeeper knows who he is, he opens the gate to let him in. And the sheep recognize the voice of the true Shepherd, for he calls his own by name and leads them out, for they belong to him.” (TPT].

Yesterday, I shared that no matter how noisy the marketplace is, when my grandmother calls me, I hear her voice above all the noise. I cannot explain how I know her voice, I just know it. In an experiment [and you can attempt this as well]; a child and his friend were put inside a room. Read the rest of this entry

God’s Sheep

John 10:4-5 “After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.”

In John 10, Jesus uses two illustrations for the Shepherd and the sheep. The first is of a big sheep pen, with several shepherds each having their sheep inside the pen and the area is guarded by a gatekeeper. The second illustration is of one Shepherd, his sheepfold, and his pen. Read the rest of this entry
