Source Principle

Psalm 43:4 “There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!”

How do I trust God to meet my needs? This is a legitimate question, particularly at this time when the world is going through huge challenges and still recovering from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. Different economic challenges have followed due to the pandemic, Read the rest of this entry

Your Response, IV

Psalm 34:5 “Look to Him and shine, so shame will never contort your faces.” (Voice)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is that where you look determines what flows to you. Are you looking at the Source of light or are you looking at social media and what is trending? Are you looking at which celebrity is saying what, or what is going on in the news? Your Response, III

Psalm 27:1 “Yahweh, The Lord is my light and my salvation, my revelation-light and the source of my salvation — so why should I be afraid? I fear no one! The Lord is my fortress, protecting me. I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh, surround and protect me.(NLT, TPT)

Psalm 114:1-7 When the Israelites escaped from Egypt—when the family of Jacob left that foreign land—the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away. Read the rest of this entry

Your Response, II

1 John 1:5This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.” (MSG).

Listen, there is no darkness whatsoever, there is no shadow of turning, no variableness in God. God is light, pure light. Since God is light and God is shining upon you, and you are like a tree, you will take the light of God and produce sustenance. Read the rest of this entry

Never Forget

Deu.26:12 “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.” (NIV)

Yesterday, we talked about an aspect of the Promised Land that was a struggle for the children of Israel back then and a lot of Christians struggle with it even today. God took them from a place where the water was flowing from the ground [the Nile] to a place where they needed to look up to Read the rest of this entry

Look Up

John 17:1 “After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.” (emphasis added).

Our first lesson from Jesus’ prayer in John 17 starts in the very first verse and it is the posture Jesus took. When Jesus prayed, Jesus faced God. However, as children of God, we have the privilege of lifting our eyes to God and bowing our knees to Him in reverence. Read the rest of this entry

For This Cause

John 15:16 “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

John 15:1I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.” In yesterday’s devotional, Jesus showed us everything about our walk with God from this verse. Jesus says, He is dependent on The Father and we are dependent on Him. Anyone that thinks they are not dependent on Jesus, anyone that thinks they can stand on their own will wither, it is just a function of time. Not only is the grapevine dependent on the vinedresser for propping, the grapevine is also dependent on the vinedresser for pruning. Pruning is a process whereby a fruitful branch is trimmed so that it can be more fruitful. The grapevine also needs the vinedresser for cutting. Read the rest of this entry

In Relationship

John 14:10-11 “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me…”

How is your study of John chapters 12, 13, and 14 going? Remember to form discussion groups and share. As we obey, God will open the Book of remembrance for us in Jesus Name. Let Out!

John 7:38 (NIV)Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Streams bring value and streams bring life. Please read Ezekiel 31:4-9 & 47:1-12. Your life will bring value, your life will bring life to people. Read the rest of this entry

Source vs. Outlet

1 Cor.12:4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all… 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”

You and I did not choose or have any control over the things we were born with. Why then should anyone be arrogant because of good looks? What if you wake up one day and you are no longer good looking? Read the rest of this entry
