Source Principle

Psalm 43:⁴ “There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!”

How do I trust God to meet my needs? This is a legitimate question, particularly at this time when the world is going through huge challenges and still recovering from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. Different economic challenges have followed due to the pandemic, and a lot of industries are still building to recover from losses and the impact. As believers, the fundamental of trusting God can and is actually being tested in such a way that people are asking, how do I trust God to meet my needs now and in the future? Over the next few days, God Himself will speak to us. I want you to open your heart, release your faith, and trust that God will give you understanding in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

You need to build your life on the fundamental that God is your source. I want you to say it aloud even now, God is my source. Yes, God is your source, and you need to build your life on this fundamental. God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth, is your source. Not the government, not the economy, not your job, not your business or businesses, not your spouse, not your children, not your cousin, not your uncle, not that wealthy auntie. But God.

Who is your source? God is your source and that is the fundamental you have to build your life on. We need to build our lives on the fundamental that God is our source. Psalm 23:¹ “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. I shall not want.” (NLT/KJV). Who is your Shepherd? Who is your source? David says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. I shall not want.” He did not say, the Lord is my shepherd, I have a few things that I need. He did not say, the Lord is my shepherd I have just enough to get by. He said the Lord is my shepherd, I have all that I need.

Interestingly, some people have a problem with Christians believing in God for their supply. The truth is if you are going to put your security in anything at all, you need to put it in something that can never be taken from you. If you are going to put your security in anyone, put it in someone who is so secure and cannot be taken away from you, and that Person is God. The only thing that cannot be taken away from you is your relationship with Jesus.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You alone are my shepherd and my source, therefore I have all that I need now and in the future, in Jesus Name. Amen!
