Jesus is Alive
‘…Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead…’ Luke24:5-6
Hallelujah, Jesus is Alive. The beauty of our faith is the fact that the grave is empty. Every other person that has claimed to be a prophet or a god we know where they are buried today. We know the tomb of Buddha, Mohamed, and Krishna. We also know the tomb of Jesus but it is empty. He arose just as He promised. They stationed soldiers at Jesus’ tomb to make sure that He does not escape. They persecuted Jesus while He was alive, managed to ‘kill him’, and they are still guarding His body. There must be something about this Jesus. Yet in spite of the soldiers positioned at the grace and the stone that was rolled in place to block the entrance to the tomb, Jesus got up and broke free. Jesus is alive. That is why you can look every demon that is trying to harass you in the face and command them to flee in the Name of Jesus. And they will obey because Jesus is alive. That is why we are confident that regardless of what the enemy may bring our way, we are going to resurrect. And the end will be better than the beginning. To really praise God in hallelujah is to forget about who you are. We are grateful to God for promotions in our lives but when we are in God’s presence what we are, who we are, what we have is of little importance. Come to the presence of God-our Maker like He alone is God and we are nothing. Because He alone is God and we are nothing without Him. Dance before God, be free before our Father, and be foolish before our King. It does not matter if the man that is interested in you is watching, be a fool for God. It does not matter if the lady you are planning to marry is beside you wondering if you will behave like the foolish king David. Choose to be a fool for God. One thing God assures us because of this season of Easter is that He is not a looser. Jesus won and by the victory of Jesus, we win. Some of us hold on so tightly to our dignity as if it is the ultimate. We hold onto it even at the expense of glorifying God. With God you have to be willing to let your all go so that He can promote you. By the third day Jesus had arisen.
Prayer [song]: Hallelujah, Jesus is alive. Death has lost its victory. And the grave has been denied. And Jesus lives forever. He’s alive (2x). He’s the Alpha and Omega. The first and last is He. The curse of sin is broken. And we have perfect liberty. The Lamb of God has risen. He’s alive (2x).
