Except By Him

‘Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me’ John 14:6

As Christians we are in constant danger of false assurances. ‘…When we display our righteous deeds, 
they are nothing but filthy rags…’ Isa.64:6. God has helped you live a clean life without fornication, adultery, stealing, and killing – God helped you by the power of the Holy Spirit. When you begin to approach God based on your goodness, you are placing yourself under the curse of the law. For some people this is all that needs to be taken care of and they will enter their inheritance this year. Realize that in your strength and by your works alone you cannot gain access to the Father. Yes we fast, pray, and seek the Lord but that is not the basis for access. It is not our fasting that makes us better or gives us access to God. The only thing that gives us access to God is the Blood of Jesus. We must never loose sight of that. The danger that people God is helping to live for Him face is that they tend to rely on themselves, on their good works, and on the law. This inevitably repositions them under the law. So why then do we have to fast and pray? It is simple; the only thing that is free is salvation. If you want to prosper – you have to sow the seed. It is what you sow that you will reap. The disciples of Jesus said to Him ‘we have been trying to cast out this demon since you went on the mountain of transfiguration. Now you are back we still cannot cast out the demon. Why couldn’t we cast out this demon? Don’t we have access to you? We have access to you, we walk with you but how come we couldn’t cast out the demon?’ You know what Jesus said ‘this kind does not go but by prayer and fasting’. There are certain things that will not shift until you get into that birth position of fasting and prayer. Some people are busy thanking God that their fathers and grandfathers have paid the price. So their plan is to just enjoy a life without issues or problems. I am happy for you but please pray for your children. At least you are enjoying because someone prayed for you so you too pray for your children. So they won’t curse you for allowing the blessing end with you alone.

Prayer: Father, I ask that Your blessings upon my life will extend to my children to the third and fourth generation. Let the seeds that You lead me to sow henceforth cover my children to the third and fourth generation, in Jesus Name.
