Don’t Be Afraid! Don’t Be Dismayed!

Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’ Deut.1:21

What do you do when God has done what only Him can do? When He has made a provision that there is no way you could have had that kind of resource available and then He serves you the ball? Meaning the next move is yours right? What would you do? ‘Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it…’ Deut.1:21[KJV]. It seems God’s pattern is to set a land before His people and instruct them to go and possess it. In other words, the ball is in your court. Then the next thing God says, as represented in scripture, is don’t be afraid-don’t be dismayed. This means that when God is setting a land before you, it is not a land that you can possess in your own strength. It is a land that will naturally intimidate you. Yet God is saying to us don’t be afraid and don’t be discouraged, go up and possess the land. The word land here represents different things to different people. For some people, the land represents health, or finances, or marriage, or children, or a physical land. Since it is God’s plan for us to possess our lands, it will definitely come to pass in Jesus Name [Isa.14:24]. Last year God began a move with us as a people to possess a physical land. As we moved, people also began to possess their personal lands and will continue to possess their personal lands in Jesus Name.

However, when God wants to do a miracle how should we as His people be positioned? What does God expect from us? Please Read Mark 6:30-44. Jesus is amazing! This miracle of how He fed the five thousand is so significant. Yes all the miracles Jesus did are significant but the feeding of the five thousand was the only miracle that Jesus did that was recorded in the four gospels [Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John]. From this story we can see very clearly that God already knows the answer before we encounter the problem. Before God hands you the next move, He has already equipped you with the capacity to make the move. What move has God put before you? God is saying to you today ‘do not be afraid and do not be discouraged’.

Prayer: Father, thank You for providing me with all that I need to possess the land that You have set before me. I will possess my land, in Jesus Name.
